Here are some very important things to know when looking into a helicopter school.

This particular school, universal helicopters states that "you will complete all of your flight training within 6 months".  What they don't tell you is that after 5 months of training ALL of the $80,000.00 loan money is ALL GONE, and that you need $8,000.00 more to finish and you only have the private rating.  The President of universal, Gordon Jiroux says to take out $20,000.00 just in case to finish.  Reluctantly I took out the $20,000.00 loan and this money was ALL GONE in 2 months.  Luckily I was able to pass off my commercial, instrument, and CFI ratings within this time.  I was told I would need another $8,000.00 to get my CFII.

100% financing with no finance charges or payments until 6 months after graduating the college degree program.  Each student is charged $2,000.00 per installment for each $20,000.  So since we are told to take out $80,000.00, that is $8,000.00 total in finance charges.  On another paper like this it also says that there is no interest until 6 months after you graduate.  Interest starts the day the loan is executed.
